Module Environment

This module allows to define the flight phases and the intensifying factors to consider in the AFHA/SFHA.

Process:

The definition of the Aircraft environment is a prerequesite before the AFHA / SFHA analysis.

1. Define the flight phases for the aircraft missions.
2. Define the group of flight phases used in the FHA (it avoids to duplicate the scenarios)
3. Define the intensifying factors to be considered

Class of Data Definition
PhaseFlight segment characterized by operational objectives, procedures and environment conditions
Phases Group Group of flight phases considered for the Safety analysis.
Factor that would intensify the severity of a failure condition (wind, RTO, …).
Intensifying FactorFactor that would intensify the severity of a failure condition (wind, RTO, …).
Intensifying Factor CategoryCategory of intensifying factors (operational conditions, operational events, environmental conditions, environmental events, …)

Main Features:

  • List, View, Edit, Duplicate, Delete the Phases, Groups of Phases, Intensifying Factors and Categories of Intensifying Factors
  • Provide an overview of the mission (see first picture)
  • Define the average mission time and each phase average time for the calculation of the probabilities.
  • Define up to 18 flight phases for which you can define a specific Safety Classification in the Failure Condition form (see picture above)
  • Define the probability of the Intensifying Factors for the calculation of the probabilities, and the check of the FDAL / IDAL allocation.
  • Link a Failure Condition or a Scenario to a Group of Phases and if necessary to an Intensifying Factor.
